During Worship

James 1:21-22; 1 Peter 2:1-3

Download the complete guide

Overview

The goal during worship is to open your heart to receive the Word of God. We are to become eager and ready to receive His Word with meekness by engaging with other believers in worship and music and listening attentively to the sermon.

Singing, praying, and reflecting together create a space where God's truth is applied to our lives. In doing so, we create an atmosphere that is welcoming, not pressuring, so worshipers can focus on God rather than impressing others.
